Pocklington 29 - 0 Malton & Norton

A hard working display by the Panthers gave them another good win over their local rivals, Malton.
With the pack efficiently providing some decent ball and Mark Stringer in inspired form at stand off, the Panthers were always in the box seat. Stringer sent them on their way, scoring and converting the first try from a neat inside pass, then they extended their lead when Colts Jason beevers and Dan Pickard combined impressively down the right flank for the latter to touchdown.
And when Stringer galloped over from long range and added another conversion and centre Guy Wilson powered in for his customary score, the Panthers had the game just about sewn up at 22-0 at the interval.
They still had to stick to their task to hold Malton at bay and young fullback James Simpson distinguished himself with his strong running from deep. And the Panthers sealed victory in impressive style as forwards and backs combined before another inside offload set centre Martin Scott free to charge over and add a try to fatherhood as part of his week of celebrations.
