Pocklington 17 - 0 Driffield
The Panthers
produced a good team performance capped by two excellent tries as they won at
home to Driffield.
The Panthers claimed the only score of the first half when
they broke blind from their own half and a quick exchange of passes ended with
flanker Ed Rowbottom racing under the posts for Mark Stringer to drop kick the
conversion.
Teenage forwards Michael Hodgson and Ryan Duncan were at the heart
of an enterprising display from the young Panthers' outfit and they again took
their chances in style in the second period.
Fly half Ed Rook kicked a penalty
and forwards and backs combined in style from halfway in a sweeping move involving
half a dozen players before Rowbottom was again in the right place at the right
time to touchdown, Stringer again adding the extras with a drop kick.
